APPROVAL TO AWARD BID #15-0110 FOR HVAC FACTORY CHILLER SERVICE AND OEM REPAIR PARTS
Description
Bids to provide 'HVAC Factory Chiller Service and OEM Repair Parts' were received from four vendors on December 3, 2014. The bids of Daikin Applied, Johnson Controls, Inc., and Tampa Bay System Sales, Inc., dba Tampa Bay Trane were the best low bids meeting the advertised specifications based on a sealed scenario. The bid of Carrier Commercial Services was non-responsive to the requirement to provide a Class A HARV Contractor's License. This bid is for a period of one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods. The funds for these purchases are contained in the transfer from capital budget allocated to the Facilities Services Department.
Recommendation
That the bids of Daikin Applied, Johnson Controls, Inc., and Tampa Bay System Sales, Inc., dba Tampa Bay Trane, to provide HVAC Factory Chiller Service and OEM Repair Parts in an amount not to exceed $750,000.00, be approved as presented.
